Check out this animation artie.com/. It is a spy parody commercial. I was asked by ARG! to make some animation for a tech commercial that was showing for a tech audience before the pre-premier of the latest Mission Impossible movie. My part is the drawing and animation of the three icons between 8:16 - 9:27 (in the timeline).

Mom and I spent some time in Spain with my Aunt and Cousin. There I found some inspiration for my artwork. I studied Salvador Dali for ideas of his unique paintings and found out that he lived in Spain. I also went to the dinner and a dance show to watch some real flamenco, then went to "Rio Safari" where, believe it or not, I was in the pool with sea lions (didn't get any photos of that event). I have got some Ideas that, like the animators of Disney, I would use the experience of motions, actions, and behaviors for my animations. I had such a great time in Spain that I would like to go there again, and I have a feeling I will. (When I do I'm sure I'll get the pictures of me with the sea lions.)

Learning from the pros. The Phlipits creators came to our classroom. Great to hear what they had to say about building their site.

Phlipits

I went to a presentation at school the other day. Some of the students have been working on a new media sharing site called Phlipits. The creators were there, telling us about the process of developing this site. It was great to learn what can go into making something like it. Several students have already posted some media on the site, including me. You can put in images to create an animation. The animations have a max of 10s running time. I put in some images of the different stages for my buffalo. It was inspired by one of the other Phlipits. This gave us all ideas of the many uses one could have of showing off work at different stages. (Kind of like a before and after showcase.)

I writing about Robin Williams to honor his life (1951-2014) . He proved himself to be the most famous voice actor, ever. The first movie I saw that he was in was probably Aladdin. Robin Williams (as the Genie), did some great impersonations and gave Genie awesome personality as he reacts to his forms and behaviors. Two other animated characters that Robin WIlliams played are Batty Koda, the bat from FernGully , and Fender Pinwwheeler from Robots. As he becomes the cartoons characters, he brings the characters so many expressions and so much energy. - he really makes the characters come alive.

Even though he maybe gone, he will never be forgotten.
